Summer colours

This lovely little post contains a few outfits for my friend Georgia’s (of Life’s little Ponderings) 20th birthday!

I am loving this sunny weather and so are my girls. So for G’s birthday BBQ and night out we all chose summer brights for our outfits – sorry there are no full length photos (we may have been more focused on the Pimms than the photos).

I wore my new patterned crop top from New Look (Blue Tribal Print Crop Vest £5.99), AB wore a simple red cami from Miss Selfridge, while birthday girl GP wore a yellow tee from ASOS (Petite top in texture £22.00) and stunning a statement necklace from Zara (retailing between £19.99 & £29.99).

My outfit was completed with a nude body con skirt from H&M and wooden chunky heals from Clarks. AB wore a white skort also from Miss Selfridge (Origami skort £30.00) and her shoes were nude heals from Russell and Bromley. GP competed her look with a floral patterned skort from ASOS (Premium skort in bright floral £35.00) and some awesome wedges from Topshop (Wish Buckle Espadrilles Black £42.00). Yes they are on my wish list so I knew them straight away!

Birthday bash, what to wear?

Turning 21 is the big one, but turning 20 still felt like a milestone… your suddenly no longer a teenager. Therefore, I decided one night out was just not enough, so it was the mind boggling decision of what to wear and when. I thought i’d share with you my outfit that I wore for Lightbox.

If anyone has been to Lightbox, or a house night in general you’ll know that it gets boiling and layers are just not suitable!

I opted for an all in one black number from Miss Selfridge, with a sheer neckline and sides, adding more style to the top. I paired this with a pair of Miss Selfridge denim shorts, which fitted like a glove! The shorts were tight in the right places, without being too short! I’m always drawn to shorts for a night out as your not restricted on those dance moves!

I then teamed the outfit with a pair of frilly black socks from Topshop, making the outfit more casual and comfortable for the rave.

Appealing in Aztec

The Aztec print has taken the highstreet by storm this summer, as I previously blogged in Daring in Denim. I couldn’t resist this quirky Aztec printed crop from, as I like to call Primarchaaaa aka, Primark.

The eye catching print was complimented with a statement necklace and my summer shorts for a fairly casual outfit ideal for a memorable, messy night out in magaluf!

Whenever summer holidays are on the horizon, as if its a tradition I always buy a new pair of denim shorts, I practically live in them on sunny days! Miss Guided are on trend this season with this acid wash, high waisted pair. They’re fitted, yet comfortable!
