Summer colours

By Sarah Redman

This lovely little post contains a few outfits for my friend Georgia’s (of Life’s little Ponderings) 20th birthday!

I am loving this sunny weather and so are my girls. So for G’s birthday BBQ and night out we all chose summer brights for our outfits – sorry there are no full length photos (we may have been more focused on the Pimms than the photos).

From L to R: Sarah Redman, Alicia Berman (AB), Georgia Plummer (GP)

I wore my new patterned crop top from New Look (Blue Tribal Print Crop Vest £5.99), AB wore a simple red cami from Miss Selfridge, while birthday girl GP wore a yellow tee from ASOS (Petite top in texture £22.00) and stunning a statement necklace from Zara (retailing between £19.99 & £29.99).

My outfit was completed with a nude body con skirt from H&M and wooden chunky heals from Clarks. AB wore a white skort also from Miss Selfridge (Origami skort £30.00) and her shoes were nude heals from Russell and Bromley. GP competed her look with a floral patterned skort from ASOS (Premium skort in bright floral £35.00) and some awesome wedges from Topshop (Wish Buckle Espadrilles Black £42.00). Yes they are on my wish list so I knew them straight away!

Friends with Benefits

By Sarah Redman
Yes, it is a some what misleading title and ironically I’m actually talking about a make over that included no Benefit products! A girly evening complete with chocolate, face masks and episodes from my Sex and the City TV box set turned into a lovely make over from my wonderful friend Georgia (Life’s Little Ponderings).

Her make up bag is always full of great products from a range of brands and luckily for my bank balance a range of prices! In the picture below are my three favourite products from the make over.

  1. The Bourjois healthy mix serum in 51 is fantastic for a high street foundation, great coverage – not to heavy but not too sheer for those who like to even their skin tone.
  2. The Chanel levres scintillantes glossimer 166, lip gloss for short, is absolutely fabulous, so light, yet has great coverage and also tastes great! It is definitely worth the price tag (I’m starting the Christmas list early this year) #InvestmentPiece
  3. Lastly this Eco Tools eye liner brush, unfortunately is no longer available, however i use The Body Shop slanted eye brush which is basically the same. The precision of this brush is great for getting right against the lash line.

Blogging mania

By Sarah Redman
Being as my post about fellow (picture) blogger Georgia Plummer – ‘Life’s Little Ponderings‘ went down so well I thought I would share another friend of mine’s newley set up blog.

Her name is Jemma Hill, also a student, her blog ‘The Style Overhaul‘ Is a great new addition to the WordPress blog-a-sphere. A few personal favourite posts of hers are her review on Benefit make up and her rather personal and women empowering post which includes the YouTube hit; Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’ sung by Elmo. Need I say more? Go check it out for yourselves.

Life’s Little Ponderings…

By Sarah Redman

Life's Little Ponderings

This is a lovely little tumblr page, by my friend Georgia Plummer, a photo blog featuring mostly food and fashion – what could be better.

You can also find some photo’s from The Sarah’s Style Blog’s photo shoots she has re-blogged on Life’s Little Ponderings.

Life's Little Ponderings Post

I love her latest re-blog: ‘I’d rather be happy than be thin’ – words of wisdom that she often comes out with, but when you have a friend who bakes cake like she does you won’t want that ‘elusive gap between your thighs’, because seriously I don’t think its possible!

Eat cake, think of fashion, and be happy
