Rain rain go away…

By Sarah Hugill

Apologies all you lovely bloggers as I seem to have fallen off the face of the earth!

What with exams and then working full time i’ve been pretty rubbish at updating our blog, so it’s about time I get cracking!

I don’t know about you guys but I couldn’t wait for bank holiday weekend! No surprises it rained cats and dogs, typical English weather, so I decided to crack out my recent New Look purchases to brighten up my mood!

I worse a kimono (which I am slightly obsessed with at the moment, so many prints and colours to choose from!) this one caught my eye with the floral and bird print in a silvery shade so that you can wear it with pretty much any colour from New Look. I then wore a white vest top with detailing along the bottom also from New Look, a mint green, cream and white clutch back… you guessed it from New Look with a pair of leggings (as they’re quick drying) incase I got caught in a down pour.

I teamed the outfit with a spot of red lippy, dressing up the outfit for the occasion of a bank holiday meal out!

Creative cones

To me ice cream is never boring, especially on a hot day! However in a small ice cream parlour in France they have upped their game and created lovely rose designs out of the ice cream of your choice.

Get your mittens on this!

There’s nothing better than finding an item in the sale that you’ve been pondering over for a while!

I’d been eye balling this for ages, but kept thinking to myself – I need to save for summer and resisted temptation at spending £36 on this beaded top from Topshop. However, it was recently reduced to £20, so I saw it as an investment and a saving, as quite frankly it was only a matter of time before I caved!

Topshop beaded top

This top is perfect with a a pair of denim shorts and some converse for a more casual summery look, or a pair of disco pants and some wedges for a night out! The cream beading is delicate and makes the sheerness of the top more classy (a black bra is essential!)

Pamper your palms

By Sarah Hugill

Let’s face it we use our hands to do various tasks all day, every day so once in a while they deserve a treat! CND do a range of scented hand and body lotions that are perfect to nourish our over worked hands, especially if you’re like me and are currently surrounded by mind-maps. It’s official revision takes up SO much time.

cnd lotion

This particular cream blends citrus, white flower and warm amber creating a sweet and seductive scent! This was one of CND’s seasonal fragrances, brought out especially for valentines day. CND is a brand that many salons use so it can be difficult to purchase unless your part of the trade. However, I received this particular lotion as a gift for doing an internship for a nail magazine, but if you can get your hands on CND products they are definitely worth it!

Have you used CND before? Let us know what you think at @thesarahsblog or leave us a comment below!
